MUSIC
LESSONS
Most lessons
are geared toward musicians that eventually would like to perform, either
solo or in a group. Emphasis is on theory, timing, technique, and memorization.
Keyboard-generated back-up tapes are used as practice aids.
COST:
Students that show up EVERY week at a pre-arranged time pay $20.00
per lesson. This pays for 40 minutes. Other arrangements are available.

GUITAR
All
popular styles, electric or acoustic, from beginning to advanced. Emphasis
is on theory, ear training, and memorization. Popular songs are used
as examples. Students may bring recordings of songs they would like
to learn.
BASS
Electric
or stand-up, most styles. Emphasis is on theory and creating your own
bass parts with chord progressions.
BLUEGRASS
GUITAR
Bluegrass
Guitar Lessons. Emphasis is on technique, timing, and learning a standard
repertoire for playing with other musicians. Theory and improvisation
for those who would like to play on a more professional level.
FIDDLE
Fiddle
Lessons. Old time, Bluegrass, Rock, Cajun, and Irish. Tunes are taught
by ear using tapes. Theory as it becomes applicable for playing back-up.
MANDOLIN
Mandolin Lessons. Old time, Bluegrass, and Irish. Tunes
are taught by ear using tapes. Back-up playing is emphasized.
BANJO
Banjo
Lessons. 5-string Bluegrass style. Emphasis is on back-up playing first
(chord inversions, etc.) then improvisation and selected solos. Play-along
tapes are used.
SONGWRITERS
RECORDING STUDIO
I
arrange, engineer, play, and produce professional demo and commercial
recordings. Depending upon complexity, most finished songs cost between
$150.00-$400.00 (including mixdown to D.A.T.). This is a fraction
of the cost of hiring a studio, engineer, and separate musicians.
Samples and references are available. Base rate is $35.00 per hour.
PERFORMANCE
CONSULTING
For group and/or individual. Professional management advice without
the cost of a full-time manager. Performance critiques, band analysis,
and objective insight on making money in the music business or to get
you to that next level
